While admittedly not the most authentic Chaozhou restaurant, it is perhaps one that you will like the most. Bai Shi Jia alters traditional Chao Zhou recipes slightly, toning down the saltiness to make it more palatable to non-native Chao Zhou diners. This is a great introduction to Chao Zhou cuisine. Recommended are the fen guo dumplings, an excellent dim sum treat. The lu wei basted duck liver with fried tofu is also wonderful. As with nearly all Cho Zhou restaurants, there is no menu. You simply point and choose from the dishes and ice-packed seafood on the first floor. |

| One of the most interestingly designed restaurants in Guangzhou, it features big glass bubbles cascading from the ceiling, creatively dividing the two main dining areas, and modernist paintings make for more than just a boring backdrop. The food is outstanding, as well. Make sure to save room for the shaved ices with fresh fruit and red beans. Cool spot for a late-night dinner date.
