The 116th Canton Fair, the autumn session, officially known as the China Import and Export Fair, opens today. Despite of the foreign trade slump, this session of Canton Fair is granted with new topics and opportunities.

On the opening press yesterday, Liu Jianjun, a spokesman for the international fair, pointed out that the 116th fair will focus on innovation on foreign trade pattern such as enhance industry-university-research cooperation, boost e-commerce, facebook marketing and so on.

Under the national strategy to build the 21st Maritime Silk Road international relations, the fair will focus on boosting the trade between China and countries from ASEAN, South Asia and the Persian Gulf region.

On the commence reception in the evening, Zhu Xiaodan, the Governor of Guangdong Province also wished that the 116th Canton Fair could take the advantage of rebuilding Maritime Silk Road, to maintain the great relationship with foreign trade partners, and finally achieve win-win results.

It is anticipated that the attendances of this session of fair may hold the line with the last one and more new conception enterprises will be seen by the public.
