It is located right opposite pearl river with a very peaceful environment. Rooms are a bit old but hygienic,so no issues. also we can get indian halal food from an indian restaurant located within 2 mins with room service to aiqun hotel.great experience overall...

Old brand hotel just close to the Pearl River, nice view. Room is a little bit old, but clean. Price is ok. A hospital nearby.

Was quiet inside the hotel, and the young girls on the third floor were friendly and tried to help if possible, we had our twin girls with us, and they gave them lots of attention which was nice. The WiFi worked OK, and it was nice that they offered us a modem for a bond of 120rmb just in case we needed it. If your a Westerner you possibly will not want to soak up the ambiance.

river view room so spectacular
The hotel's (2 buildings side by side) old building (west building) was built in 30's, and was once the tallest building in Guangzhou. Now the building is classified as historical site, and protected by the city government. It is located at the Pearl river bank of the old city of Guangzhou, one side of the hotel enjoys a spectacular view of the river, the River South (Haizhu district) city skylines. So please book river view room, you will not regret.

Stayed 10 days and overall i was happy.
Stayed in west building which is clean and not carpeted, which keeps the smell low. Room was good enough, average size with double bed. Only let down was the staff in lobby made little too much noise in the earlly mornings hence distub sleep.
However, i'll be back !

River View and convinient
I have stayed in this hotel three times. I have returned for their convenience and mainly their river view, location and value for money.
Their rooms have two types. With carpet and without. It also seems that some floors or rather areas are renovated. The carpet seem to be too dirty. So, do ask to see the room before you check in.
Staff barely speaks english so this is always a problem.
I always take a western river view room so it's worth it for me. Otherwise, its not worth staying there.
Also, Indian and Casablanca ughyur muslim food restaurants are very close. Practically next door, so that's very convenient. Just walk west on the river road and you will see the restaurants in Hotels after three / four buildings.
Beijing LU and other areas are not too far. 10 RMB by taxi.

The decor is subtle and tastef
The decor is subtle and tasteful and befits the grade facade. It's a beautiful spot for a stroll by the Pearl, especially in the evening when the river lights up with neon.
The staff were noisy - yelled a lot in the corridor. Some guests were really noisy too early in the morning. All the restaurants were, unfortunately, undergoing renovation.
