a hotel near local town
hotel is near a main road to Canton Fair, next to a big Chinese neighbourhood. Lots of small restaurants nearby.

Like the location of the hotel
Like the location of the hotel. The room is big. The breakfast is abit not good enough. Not much time to choose. So end up 4 days all having the same thing. Noodle too oily. Only breakfast I don't like, if not overall the place is not bad

recommend to try a foot massage!
Relatively inexpensive five star hotel with all imaginable amenities. Really nice surroundings with small lake and greenery, providing relaxing atmosphere having in mind that it´s Guangzhou city. I would recommend to visit spa for a foot massage. Perfect ending for a busy day!

worth staying
The hotel was outside the main city of Guangzhou, but it was worth staying there. It was modern and very clean. The food was fair, most was buffet style. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The area is semi tropical, with a golf course close by. Public transportation to the downtown core was excellent. My room faced the courtyard, with a view of the large outdoor pool and the hills.

excellent hotel & service!
Stayed at the Phoenix for two weeks and had a fine time. The entrance will 'bowl you over' with its way over the top grandeur. The staff are friendly and keen to help. The room was great, big and clean. The maids did a great job every day. Laundry very prompt away in the morning and back in the evening. All folded beautifully with tissue paper and cardboard collar inserts. Like new clothes, best my old surf shirts have looked!
