The service I received from HRC was very good
The service I received from HRC was very good, I have used you several times and have always been happy. Maggie my travel advisor is wonderful, she is very helpful and very friendly. I come back because Maggie is so good. The Riverside Hotel is just ok, I have stayed there for many years. One thing they have done which is not good is they got rid of any Western food on their menu. So I cannot even get a hamburger there.

Would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, we spent 2 nights here in a deluxe room, there were plenty of staff who could speak enough english for us to get by, the location was great with terrific views of the night lights on the river. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from for all tastes and the staff were very attentive. Our room was well appointed and very clean, though we had requested a river view several times we did not receive this but did not let this small matter detract from our stay. We used the pool and had a drink in the lounge, the staff in both were very friendly and helpful with good english. The location is very good, a 10 minute walk to the wharf for Pearl River Night Cruise and about 15 minutes to Beijing Road Pedestrian Mall. Would stay here again.

take a river-view room to enjoy Pearl River!
this is my second stay in the hotel and i loved it. front desk people are very friendly and responsive, with fair knowledge of spoken English. Check In is smooth and fast. Bellboys courteous. rooms ready. This time I stayed on the 20th floor in a river-view room and the best part is the view of Pearl River at night. Only tricky thing is the bottles of Evian kept on bedside table, and inevitably you will think it is complementary, whereas it is charged at RMB 30 each bottle. The complementary water is kept in the toilet. The swimming pool is very relaxing. Overall, for business trip it is excellent. Highly recommended for business travellers.

I stayed here 3 nights and I loved it. The view is great both the city and the river. What is great free wifi in the rooms. The service is ok, and English is much spoken here. The furniture is a bit old, yet the rooms are clean, and nice. The pool, the gym, sauna, everything was nice, and on the bank of the river. Free shuttle buses to the canton fair. Enjoyed the food in the lounge and the restaurants. Overall loved the place. Would surely stay there again.

prime location, nice staff, free wifi
The desk staff were helpful and very friendly. They responded to all our requests quickly and efficiently. The gym and the changing areas were great. The outdoor pool was clean and well maintained. We swam regularly during our 4 day stay. We enjoyed walking along the edge of the Pearl River and loved sitting by the river watching the locals come out. There were plenty of Chinese restaurants nearby. Taxis were easy to hail on the roadside which is a floor down from the main entrance. Popular shopping areas were close by taxi. Free wi-fi in the room. Breakfast was fine. There was a good variety for both western and Chinese.

Room is too small
The standard room is very small,very old,I will never stay there again,but HRC made good service.and we changed another hotel.

Old but good for the money
The riverside hotel is old, a bit worn out, but for the money is good. about $100 aud / night. it's on the river, close to Beijing road, the main shopping place, and Haizu square, the closest metro.
