Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2010
The unanimous choice for 2010 Vinexpo
Asia-Pacific 2008 was again successful with:
8,868 visitors, a 28% increase compared to 2006
692 exhibitors from 32 countries
375 journalists reporting on the event in 28 countries
Also in 2008, Hong Kong made significant progress towards its ambition of becoming the wine hub of Asia, when customs duties were lowered. These developments made Hong Kong the natural choice again for Vinexpo Asia-Pacific in 2010.
A strategic centre within the Asian Market
The success of Vinexpo Asia-Pacific is an illustration of how vigorous the Asian wine and spirits market is, but it also demonstrates the growing importance of Hong Kong as a business centre with influence all over Asia. Furthermore, Hong Kong seems to be making its way through the economic difficulties of 2010 more easily than the other capitals in the region.
A controlled growth Significant extension work on the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center has just finished. Vinexpo Asia-Pacific will be able to use new areas to host a larger number of exhibitors, who will be selected as usual. The number of professional visitors from the Asia-Pacific region will grow again as the interest solicited by wines and spirits in Asia increases.
