Hong Kong Optical Fair 2012

Organised by the HKTDC and co-organised by the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association (HKOMA), the Hong Kong Optical Fair 2012 (20th edition) will take place from 7-9 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

The fair offers a wide range of optical products including frames for prescription spectacles and sunglasses, specialty glasses for sports, safety and other uses as well as components, accessories, lenses, contact lenses and optometric equipment. 

For medium to high-end optical products, the fair is a major optical industry centre of activity. In 2011, the fair attracted a record breaking of more than 600 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, connected with over 12,000 worldwide trade buyers. This year, France is setting up group pavilion for the first time to showcase their finest eyewear products.

Branded eyewear is an essential element of the fashion scene. This is clear from the participation of over 150 important brands from 18 countries and regions in the 2011 Brand Name Gallery. They occupied about 70% more space than 2010 Gallery.
