The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair , scheduled from April 27 to April 30, 2012, is proudly entering into its seventh year as a unique and highly-regarded one-stop business and trading platform. The event has emerged as a crucial hub for printing and packaging solution providers to connect with manufacturers, suppliers and traders worldwide. Exhibitors offer a wide range of printing & packaging services, equipment & materials, as well as logistic services to all industries’ buyers from different parts of the world. Their total solutions effectively help companies upgrade their product image and attractiveness, thus raising their overall competitiveness.
This fair is well received and supported by the industry. Its success is evident with the steady increase in the number of both exhibitors and buyers. In 2011, exhibitor numbers grew by 23%. Where do you fit in?
The Hong Kong Printing & Packaging Fair 2012 is tailored to give maximum advantage to exhibitors. 2012 product zones include Printing Services, Packaging Services, Printing & Packaging Equipment and System, Printing Consumables & Packaging Materials, and Digital Printing Equipment & Services.
In response to industry developments and demand, two sectors, Green Printing & Packaging Solutions and Food & Beverage Packaging Solutions were launched in 2011, and will return on a bigger scale in 2012.
Green power
Green Printing & Packaging Solutions zone is the place which allows exhibitors to highlight products such as eco ink, paper from sustainably managed forests, products utilising recycled or recyclable materials, biodegradable products and energy saving devices. This is also the zone for green packaging design services, bringing solutions to buyers which allow them to reduce waste and identify recyclable materials, while enhancing brand image.
Great possibilities in food & beverage
Exhibitors serving this food and beverage industry are highlighted in the Food & Beverage Packaging Solutions zone. The range of goods now being offered to the market, both individual products and packaged meals, is growing by leaps and bounds as time-poor, cash-rich consumers demand greater convenience and variety. This zone brings into prominence exhibitors of beverage packaging, blister packaging, flexible packaging, metal packaging, wine packaging, to name a few, as well as services such as label printing.
New for 2012 — transportation packaging and supply chain management
Hong Kong has a burgeoning reputation as a high-value goods inventory manager and regional distribution centre, a position strongly supported by the government of the Chinese mainland in its 12th Five-Year Plan.
Buyers seeking to achieve efficiency across the complete supply chain are able to source appropriate solution partners here. Exhibitors offer management services which cover packaging design, materials selection, packaging services, packing services and packing solutions right through to product distribution and inventory control. Increasingly, the market seeks expertise in technology such as RFID to allow visibility and accountability throughout the supply chain.
