Hong Kong International Lighting Fair Autumn 2012
Organised by the HKTDC and held at the HKCEC, the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition 2012) is the biggest lighting fair in Asia and the second largest in the world. Exhibits include LED lighting, green lighting, household lighting, outdoor lighting, commercial lighting, lighting accessories, along with Hall of Aurora for branded lighting.
A record-breaking 2,104 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions attended in 2011. More than 33,000 buyers attended – an increase of 9 % over the previous year – with more than 23,000 of those coming from overseas. A large increase in interest was seen not only from mature markets such as Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom, but also from emerging markets such as the Chinese mainland, Indonesia, Morocco, the Philippines and Ukraine.
Hall of Aurora is the branded zone of the fair, is the perfect stage for featuring branded products. In 2011 more than 300 brands from all over the world showcased their products.
Demand for products designed with the environment in mind has continued to increase, and the LED & Green Lighting Zone is set to be the biggest and one of the most exciting zones of the fair. Last year more than 780 exhibitors were present. A wide variety of LED products intended for residential, retail and architectural use were displayed by almost all of the key industry players.
The Autumn Edition continues to make a contribution to the industry through its seminars on the hottest current topics, including energy-saving technology and new design trends.
