China International Optics Fair, 2008 (CIOF 2008)
The International Optical Industry Exhibition for China commenced in Shanghai in 1985. In 1987, the show was moved to Beijing, endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relation and Trade (now Ministry of Commerce) as an official international optical exhibition for the country. The show organizer, the China Optometric & Optical Association, renamed it as China International Optics Fair (CIOF) as of 1997 when it came to its 10th anniversary. The new title reflects the prominence of the show nationwide, the status and the support and participation it gets from international suppliers and traders of the optical world.
Organized by China Optometric & Optical Association (COOA) and China Light Industrial Corporation for Foreign Economic & Technical Cooperation (CLETC), co-organized by Orient International Exhibition Co., Ltd. of Hong Kong, CIOF (China International Optics Fair) 2008, the 19th China International Optics Fair, will be held at the China International Exhibition Centre on September 26th to 28th, 2008.
As for the 19th CIOF, the exhibition areas will cover 38,000 m2, expected numbers of exhibitors over 750 and visitors 45,000. CIOF is a international optical show endorsed by the Ministry of Commerce of the Central Government which obviously proves its superior status in the optical industry.
